Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique using deep strokes from the massage therapists’ feet, gravity-assisted depth, and compression, to deliver a deep massage like no other. The style combines western and eastern forms of deep tissue technique and ancient forms of barefoot bodywork dating back thousands of years from cultures across several countries. Here at BareFoot BodyWorks SLO, we utilize our extensive training to deliver an effective Ashiatsu Session.


 Ashiatsu Mobility Massage is a session focused on your flexibility and range of motion of joints. It's a combination of styles: Thai, Range of Motion, and Stretching facilitated by the therapist. This Massage session is done with your fully clothed, comfortable flexible clothing. No oils or lotion or wax is used. This can be added to Ashiatsu/ Barefoot Sessions to some degree.  Working your body through the Passive, Active, and Resisted stretch therapy technique is to increase movement between layers of connective tissue while decreasing the sensation or awareness of pain. Stretch Therapy enhances performance through mobility and building joint stability, and encourages interoceptive awareness during passive fascial stretching and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation.. This modality of massage can incorporate more dynamic movements with varying active-assisted range of motion(as-rom) and passive range of motion(p-rom) techniques based on your needs and the goals of the session.

mmm.Hybrid  Sessions are half of and Ashiatsu Session and short break, then half a Mobility Session. Hands on traditional deep tissue in combination with a Barefoot technique.
